Elkanah Otiang

Elkanah Otiang is a veterinary doctor with special interests in the interlinks and improvements of human-animal ecosystem health, specifically in the relationships of livestock keeping to human health (infectious diseases, nutrition associated to Animal Source Foods, Socio-economics of livestock keeping and general microbiome sharing) through medical research and policy development.

He holds a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Medicine and MSc (Human-Animal Ecosystem Health) and currently undertaking a PhD in Applied Microbiology (Virology Option) working on; Impact of Newcastle disease vaccination on; survival and production of indigenous chicken, nutrition and household income in western Kenya.
